Carnival Cruise Lines

Based on the number of passengers that they carry, Carnival Cruise Lines is considered as the largest in the world. The Florida-based company was founded in 1972 and the cruise line is currently British-American owned. They are basically one of the eleven cruise ship brands which are owned and operated by its parent company which is Carnival Corporation & plc.

Carnival Cruise Lines currently has 21 vessels in operation and they specialize in offering cruise ship holidays to passengers from around the world. Depending on the budget that you have and the destination that you wish to explore, you can take your pick from the different classes that the ships are categorized in, which includes the following:

- Conquest Class
- Dream Class
- Destiny Class
- Fantasy Class
- Spirit Class
- Splendor Class

Over the years, cruise ship manufacturers have built huge vessels which sail under the Carnival Cruise Lines brand. In 2009, a 130,000-ton vessel called Carnival Dream was launched. It's the largest "Fun Ship" to ever have been constructed by ship builder Fincantieri and they started booking cruises for this line on September 21 of the same year.

Two other 130,000-ton vessels are currently being finished – the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Magic, which are set to sail during the second half of 2010.
