When you mention the name Disney, the first thing
that usually comes to mind is the cartoon films that the company
produces. However, the Walt Disney Company in general is the

Disney Cruise Line started operating in 1995 under the Walt Disney
Parks and Resorts division of The Walt Disney Company. The
cruise line company's headquarters is in Celebration, Florida.
When the cruise line first started, there were only two ships
sailing which provided family-oriented cruise packages which
featured some of the most famous Disney characters.
The two ships were Disney Magic which began
operating in July of 1998; and the Disney Wonder which started
sailing on August 1999.
These two vessels featured entertainment amenities which are
meant to be enjoyed by specific age groups like children,
teenagers and adults. The newest addition to the Disney Cruise
Line fleet is Disney Dream.

Disney Dream
Disney Dream is a 4,000-passenger vessel which has a 128,000-GT
capacity. Its first sailing is set on January, 2011 although the
company is already advertising it on their Disney Cruise Line
website. The newest addition to the fleet has a timeless Art
Deco design which is combined with state-of-the-art onboard
facilities.
Disney Magic
Built in 1998, the Disney Magic vessel lives up to its name of
being magically majestic. The design of the ship is a blend of
classic luxury vessel design while incorporating all the modern
amenities that guests might need.
Disney Wonder
Constructed in 1999, the Disney Wonder vessel has a sleek,
modern design. It's famous for taking families in gorgeous
locations like the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera and Alaska.
Another vessel called Disney Fantasy is set to be added on Disney
Cruise Line's current fleet. It can board 4,000 passengers and
is set to sail by the year 2012.
