Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Sailing the seven seas is an apt description to describe the experience that you will get to have when booking a cruise vacation package with Regent Seven Seas. Here, we will take a look at the company information that Regent Seven Seas Cruises have, as well as the things that they have to offer travellers who would like to get away from it all – at least for the duration of the cruise.

The Company Behind Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Founded in 1990, the company behind Seven Seas Cruises is a subsidiary of Apollo Management LP. The company's headquarters is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and they specialize in offering luxury cruise vacation packages to passengers from around the world.

The former name that they have is the Radisson Seven Seas Cruises and what makes them different from other huge vessels is that the ships are designed for hundreds, not thousands of guests. Each vessel of Regent Seven Seas Cruises has a unique set of accommodations, services provided, dining options and entertainment amenities.

In February 2008, Apollo Management investment group purchased Regent Seven Seas Cruises from Carlson Cos. for $1 billion. The same management company owns Oceania Cruises and half of the Norwegian Cruise Line.

The Regent Experience

Currently, the Regent Seven Seas Cruises offers vacation cruise packages to Africa and India; Alaska; Asia Pacific; Canada and New England; the Mediterranean; Northern Europe; and South America. They also offer short cruises to the tropics and long-term world cruises for those who literally would like to travel the world. All in all, the Regent Seven Seas Cruises offers voyages to more than 300 ports on all seven continents.

Now, how can the Regent cruising experience be described? As indicated in their website, the ambiance on board is upscale but not uptight. Depending on the vessel that you will book a vacation package with, you can marvel at the luxury accommodations, a wide array of dining options and six-star amenities that the Regent Seven Seas Cruises are best known for.

Here are the three ships included in the fleet of the Regent Seven Seas Cruises:

   1. Seven Seas Voyager
This vessel has an all-suite, all-balcony accommodations which can house up to 700 guests. These guests are served by more than 400 European and international crew. The Voyager is famous for its great dining options wherein guests can have a unique culinary experience on the Compass Rose or La Veranda dining rooms.

   2. Seven Seas Mariner
Just like the Voyager, the Seven Seas Mariner has an all-suite, all-balcony accommodations. It can carry up to 700 guests while offering them great dining and entertainment options.

   3. Seven Seas Navigator
Finally, there's the smaller yet still luxurious Seven Seas Navigator. 90% of the rooms here have private balconies and can carry up to 490 guests.

All ships have the world-famous spa and fitness center by the Canyon Ranch SpaClub. As you can see, there's really nothing much that you can ask for when booking a cruise with Regent Seven Seas. If you're looking forward to having an unforgettable cruise vacation, it would do well to book it with Regent Seven Seas.
